Move your Drivvo history to AutoMate

AutoMate reads Drivvo’s CSV export directly. It takes about ten minutes, and you see a preview before anything is saved.

  1. Export your data from Drivvo

In Drivvo, export your records as a CSV spreadsheet and save the file somewhere you can browse to on the phone, such as Downloads or your cloud drive. Drivvo lists spreadsheet export as a paid feature, so you may need an active Drivvo plan to create the file. The file holds sections for refuelling, services and expenses.

  2. Install AutoMate

Install AutoMate from Google Play and finish the short setup. It needs no account.

  3. Open Import Data

In AutoMate, open Settings, then Import Data, and tap Select File. Pick your Drivvo CSV. Files must be under 5 MB. AutoMate recognises the format and shows “Drivvo Export”.

  4. Choose the vehicle

Under Import Into Vehicle, pick the car the history belongs to, or tap Add New Vehicle. Make sure the vehicle uses the same distance unit as the file; AutoMate warns you if the file is in kilometres and the car is set to miles, or the other way round.

  5. Check the preview

Tap Preview. You see the number of entries, the date range and any rows that could not be read. If the dates could be read two ways, AutoMate says which format it used. It also flags odometer readings that look out of order.

  6. Import

Tap Import. The result screen shows how many entries came in, how many places were created and how many duplicates were skipped.

  7. Check your history

Open History to look through the imported entries. If something is off, delete the whole import from Settings, Import History, and try again. If you track several cars, repeat the steps for each one.

What comes across

  • Refuelling: date, odometer, volume, price, fill type, station and notes.
  • Services and expenses: type, cost, place and notes.
  • Gas stations and shops, saved as places.

Reminders, attachments and anything outside the refuelling, service and expense sections stay behind. Set your reminders again in AutoMate.
